2015 International Games in Guanacaste, Costa Rica
(January 03 - 10, 2015) - Costa Rica event will be taking place from January 3rd - 10th, 2015. This will be taking place at the Riu Guanacaste, a 5 star all-inclusive resort in Guanacaste. It is located just 30 minutes from the Liberia airport. The competition will have competitors ranging from the ages of 4-50 years of age and all ranks will be present. Divisions include forms, weapons, sparring, open musical forms and weapons, synchronized as well as chanbara. The International Games will be a high energy event with many talented martial artists competing.
Medal Count & Results
On Saturday January 2nd, 2015, the Canadian National Martial Arts Team travelled to Costa Rica to compete in the 2015 International Games hosted by the International Congress of Martial Arts.
The International Games took place on Sunday January 3rd at the Riu Guanacaste Resort and brought in several countries to compete in various divisions including forms, weapons, sparring, open, chanbara, and synchronized. Competitors ranged from the ages of 4 to 60 and represented all belt levels.
The Canadian National Martial Arts Team did an amazing job at the event finishing with the following results:
4 Black Belt Triple Crown Winners (Each competitor won at least 3 golds at the event)
Julian Shamuon- Over 10 years undefeated
Silvana Shamuon- Over 9 years undefeated
Linda Davis- First year winner
Numa Weva- 2 years undefeated
